How do I point my domain name to my AdvisorWebsites.com Website?

If you own your domain, you can 'point' it at your AdvisorWebsites.com Website by changing the 'A' record destination to 76.74.156.165

Pointing your domain to AdvisorWebsites.com connect your domain to your website, so anyone who types your domain into their internet browser will be able to access your site.

The 'A' record is one of two parts that make up the 'Domain Name System' (DNS) Records that control the information that your domain communicates though internet browsers and email.  The other component is the MX record, that controls email access through your domain.  

By changing the 'A' record, rather than the entire DNS record, you will not effect the MX record.

Note: AdvisorWebsites.com does not handle email, and changing your DNS or MX records will disrupt email service with your current email provider.

You can change your 'A' record through the domain control panel of your domain registrar.  Once located, set the destination to 76.74.156.165
